Always refer back your owner’s manual, for your vehicles regular scheduled maintenace due. This includes Oil Changes, Tire Rotations, and fluid inspections and replacement.

Have all fluids examined. During normal vehicle maintenace services, be sure to ask your service writer to have all your under the hood fluids and under the vehicle fluids inspected.  Proper fluid levels and conditions play a major part during vehicle operation for safety and quality.

Check tire pressure routinely. Its a fact that under inflated tire pressure can cause less gas mileage and terrible ride quality. Most cars today have tire pressure monitors that keep a digital check,  but if you dont'  have that feature, be sure to take a brief second to visually inspect your tires for proper inflation.

Keep your engine running smooth. Engine driveability and maintenace is a major issue. Typically a check engine light will be on to help aid in letting you know there is a problem. Most of the time the light can be on due to a misfiring spark plug, oxygen sensor failure, or even a sensor not reading. Nonetheless have your car taken to a repair facility as soon as possible.

Have all grease fittings lubricated. At most repair shops, lubricated grease fittings is done during your Lube Oil and Filter change. However most newer model vehicles no longer have grease fittings, thus leaving you with no lubrication points, but be sure to get informed at your next vehicle service if your vehicle is or is not equipped.

Visually inspect your battery. Most vehicle batterys are at the top of the engine bay, allowing you to always have plain site of any troubles that could be lurking. Typically if there is a notable amount of corrossion present, then your battery is leaking acid from the post. Be sure that the cables look and feel tight, to ensure proper starting and driving before you take off.

Keep all lights inspected. Typically lights will always go out unexpectantly, for these we either get warned by a fellow driver, or your local law enforcement. Inspecting your driving lights before every trip will not only help save you the embarssement, but may also help save you and your passengers life.

Inspect wiper blades. This by far is them most simple inspection. To inspect blade operation, take a quick second to push the spary and clean button on your washer switch. If the water doesnt' clear off properly, then its more than likely time to replace your wiper blades.

Glance at your drive belt(s). Inspecting drive belts routinely helps ensure that all your accessories continue to work while you drive, including the alternator, power steering, and water pump. Be sure to just take a quick glance to make sure that there are no visible cracks present.

Keep your Air Cabin and Engine Air Filter checked frequently. The air filter should be checked approximately every other oil change for clogging or damage. The Cabin air should be checked every oil changed and replaced every 10,000-15,000 miles.
