Auto Tech Supports the Families of the Wounded
Families of the Wounded Fund Inc, and the Association of Virginia Ruritans are raising funds to support family members and caregivers of military men and women who have been wounded in combat. Funds are used for lodging, meals, transportation and other means to help family members while there loved ones are treated at the McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond. Owner Eric Wray of Auto Tech Automotive donated a check to this foundation in order to support our troops. AUTO TECH SUPPORTS THE COMMUNITY STOREHOUSE OF MARTINSVILLE & HENRY COUNTY
The Community Storehouse is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the elimination of poverty and hunger in Southside Virginia, since 2001. There mission is to examine the services given to specific areas to better determine the underlying causes of poverty and hunger unique to our area. There social work consists of two phases, serving the basic needs of the unemployed, underemployed, disabled, elderly, homeless, and otherwise disadvantaged in an effot to stabilize the individual (of family) in a time of personal or community crisis. Providing such services as, perishable and non perishable groceries, clother, personal hygience products, over the counter medications, household items, furniture, infant necessities, k-12 school needs, and childrens Christmas toys.
